Stephen James (full name Stephen James Smith) is a versatile voice-over actor, coach, director, and writer originally from Birmingham, England, and now based in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana, where his studio and offices are located.
Stephen has run his own PR, marketing communications and business solutions consultancy since 1987 and, having been involved with occasional voice-over since the 70s, he launched his performing career in earnest in 1999, when he became a leading light in The Talent Pool in Las Vegas, as well as being an active member of the board of Media Guilds International.
Stephen coaches voice actors and produces demos as well as directing and producing voice and other productions, including movies. He has also coached American actors in voice over and, as a writer, he provides occasional consultancy to authors, in particular, by providing advice and guidance on "British-English" usage, and has edited a number of works on behalf of their authors.
